The Latrine

Bjorn and the neighbor's latrine.
  1. A smiling villager leans on a shovel and asks, “Bjorn, can you help me dig a new latrine?” Bjorn looks up at him.
  2. The villager points to a dotted outline on the ground. Bjorn frowns, holding a hand to his chin.
  3. Bjorn and the villager dig the latrine together, sweating as they shovel dirt from the growing pit.
  4. The villager reclines at the edge of the pit, hands behind his head, whistling. Below him, Bjorn scowls as he continues digging alone.
  5. The villager sits on a wooden latrine seat spanning the pit and urinates onto Bjorn, who is still digging below. Bjorn looks up and shouts, “HEY!”
  6. Bjorn trudges away, scowling, soaked and dripping, with wavy smell lines rising from him. The villager says, “Jeez, he sure made that uncomfortable.”
  7. Someone else’s generosity usually costs them something.
